Christina Ramsey is an experienced and in demand voice teacher and performer. In 2019 she co-founded the California based VoxOps Vocal Studios with her husband Colin Ramsey. Her leadership and expertise has led VoxOps’s growth from a few students to a large community of singers of every type.

Christina has spent years honing her knowledge and skills as both a singer and pedagogue. She holds a Master of Music degree from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston where she studied on full scholarship. She also studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and received a Bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Wyoming where she also attended on full scholarship. While pursuing her degrees she taught courses in music history and began to teach private voice lessons.

Her studies continued well past her formal academic training. She completed apprenticeships at Central City Opera, Pensacola Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera and Opera NEO where she worked intensely with industry leading voice teachers, conductors and coaches on operatic and musical theater repertoire and style. She was also the winner of the John and Ginny Starky Award for her work at Central City Opera

As a performer on the operatic stage Christina has sung a range of parts including Ino in Handel’s Semele, Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Kate Pinterton in Madama Butterfly,  the title role in Handel’s Agrippina, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia, and Minerva in Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria. The press has hailed her ‘fleet vocal technique’ and ‘resonant, smoky mezzo’.

Christina originally comes from the small town of Miles City, MT where she first cultivated her love for singing through country music. Now as a teacher she takes great joy in using her knowledge of vocal technique learned in opera to guide the next generation of country, pop, and every other genre of singer.
